EWT expands its service offering to customers of Endurance turbines

07 Feb 2017

EWT, the world's leading decentralized wind turbine and service company, announces the launch of a comprehensive service offering to meet the demands of the many owners of endurance wind turbines currently suffering from service challenges and revenue loss from sub optimal operation and service reaction times.

The new service will offer an upgrade to control system integration, access to EWT's unrivaled localized and comprehensive U.K. Service team infrastructure, and 24/7 remote monitoring. The control system upgrade, which will continue to be developed and comes with a 10 year warranty*, will enable 24/7 active monitoring to improve availability, will proactively assist in the speedy resolution of the most common turbine errors and will facilitate an early warning signal to our nationwide service team to enable a shorter mean time to recovery. By taking advantage of the new service, owners of Endurance wind turbines will benefit from a lower risk profile towards the wind turbine’s remaining end-of-life-time. This new service is an extension of EWT’s already successful UK management and service portfolio, delivering excellent results for EWT turbine owners in the UK.

"Maintenance models rely on strong governance and automation. This allows risks to be identified early and issues that form a threat to the continuity of the customers’ business to be resolved quickly" said Han Roelofs, Manager Operations at EWT. "With our solutions, owners of Endurance wind turbines can take their existing turbines to a higher level; moving away from run to failure towards condition based maintenance. Together, EWT’s 24/7 remote control centre and renowned field service network in the UK ensure a total understanding of the wind turbines mission critical systems which enables the effective management of the maintenance and service lifecycle” added Mark Jones, CEO of EWT.
