DW61-500kW / 750kW / 900kW

The DW61 significantly increases kWh output through a larger rotor diameter, which is the result of the latest aero dynamical blade design and advanced control technologies. The DW61 is designed for wind class IEC IIIA conditions and retains the tip heights of 76.5 and 99.5 meters, which suit tip height restricted areas. The combination of proven direct drive technology and advanced control features makes EWT’s DIRECTWIND a first-class choice.

The DW61 is designed to maximize yield from low to moderate wind sites relative to other turbines in its wind class. The attractive power curve enables wind project owners to achieve high yields, and therefore more attractive returns, even at sites with low wind conditions.

Direct Drive Technology
Fewer rotating parts reduce mechanical stress, leading to a lower maintenance need and therefore superior availability levels.

Rotor blades
Latest aero dynamical design, resulting in high efficiency and low noise levels.

Individual pitch control

Reducing the loads on the main turbine components.

Tower design
In accordance with the latest IEC standards. Type Conical tubular steel, internal ascent. Hub heights 46 and 69 m.

Nacelle design
Improved spacious nacelle design for easier servicing at maximum health and safety standards.

Different wind climates
The DIRECTWIND turbines are operating in many different wind climates and regions spread across Europe, Asia and America, including extreme cold-weather locations such as Alaska. In order to withstand these extreme temperature conditions, special weather packages have been designed such that the turbines can survive in ambient temperatures up to -40˚C. For hot-weather markets such as for example Turkey, cooling solutions are included in the turbine.
